Biografia

João Pedro Bebiano e Costa é Investigador Científico e Gestor de Tecnologia de Inovação no CBQF – Centro de Biotecnologia e Química Fina assim como docente de engenharia de tecidos e biofabricação na ESB – Escola Superior de Biotecnologia da Católica. Obteve o Doutoramento em Medicina Regenerativa, Engenharia de Tecidos e Células Estaminais pela Universidade do Minho, em Braga, em 2019. Em 2022 ampliou a sua experiência ao concluir um MBA em Administração Hospitalar e Gestão da Saúde pela Universidade de Nebrija, em Madrid. Atualmente desenvolve investigação na área da medicina regenerativa, engenharia de tecidos, biomateriais e biofabricação, com um foco específico nas tecnologias de impressão 3D para o desenvolvimento de implantes personalizados.

O seu empenho em avançar nestas áreas foi recentemente reconhecido através de um prestigioso contrato obtido no âmbito do Concurso Individual de Estímulo ao Emprego Científico pela Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia. Este projeto de investigação – MOTION: Multi-biofabrication Of paTient-specific tIssues fOr regeneration of kNee meniscos – de seis anos é dedicado ao desenvolvimento de estratégias pioneiras de biofabricação para tecidos ortopédicos, particularmente no contexto da regeneração do menisco do joelho. Publicou 30 artigos científicos, tem a autoria ou coautoria de 3 patentes internacionais e já apresentou várias palestras em congressos nacionais e internacionais.
