The Rector of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Prof. Dr. Isabel Capeloa Gil, hereby announces an international selection tender for one vacancy of doctorate junior researcher to perform duties of scientific research and knowledge transfer, on an exclusivity basis, in the scientific field of biotechnology for the development of cultivation processes and the environmental and economic sustainability of national seaweed production and subsequent innovation strategies implementation. The research activities are to be carried out at CBQF – Centro de Biotecnologia e Química Fina, integrated at Escola Superior de Biotecnologia of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in Porto, within the framework of  Blue Bioeconomy Pact (PBA), financed by the Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan (“PRR”) in its Component C5 (Training and Business Innovation under the Regulation of the Incentive System “Agendas for Business Innovation” and the Invitation Notice No. 02/C05-i01/2022 – Algae Vertical Project, Sub-Project 2 - Development of new biorefinery models for processing algae biomass into ingredients, under the following conditions:
