Graduate of Universidade Católica Portuguesa with a B.Sc. in Food Engineering and a PhD in Biotechnology. Associate Professor with Aggregation at Escola Superior de Biotecnologia, Deputy Director for Education and coordinator of the 1st cycle and of the post-graduation course in Food Safety of the same institution. She is a professor in the areas of Food Microbiology and Food Safety.
She is the lead of the CBQF Research Line Food & Nutrition and responsible of the Food Microbiology thematic laboratory. The global objective of her research group is to contribute to an improved knowledge on foodborne pathogens using a 'One Health' approach.
