Discovering microbes in water, soil and food
2 de outubro (nova data)
The School of Biotechnology celebrates International Microorganism Day, an event dedicated to microbes and their importance in our lives. In a day full of scientific experiments, researchers demonstrate and explain the role of different microorganisms in the environment (water and soil), in food (food production and food safety) and in health (intestinal and skin microbiome), among others.

The importance of this type of activity in the growth and learning of students should be valued, as it was “fun”, “joy”, “I learned a lot, different”, “enriching”, “thank you”, “helped us to make a future decision ” and “we hope to return” what they wrote in their statements about the experience in the 2023 and 2022 editions. This event includes eight activities plus a few minutes of free circulation for a total of 2h30. In the end, those who pay the most attention will still be able to win prizes in the final contest!
