CALL FOR APPLICATION FOR A DOCTORAL COORDINATOR RESEARCHER

The Rector of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Prof. Dr. Isabel Capeloa Gil, hereby announces the opening of an international call for applications for one vacancy of doctoral coordinator researcher, with an exclusivity clause, to perform duties of scientific research, in the scientific area of Food Structure Technologies. The research activities will be carried out at the Centro de Biotecnologia e Química Fina (CBQF), integrated at the Escola Superior de Biotecnologia of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in Porto within the the scope of the Horizon Europe ERA Chair project THRIVE – Creation of an Excellence Group to Foster the Design of Affordable, Sustainable, and Healthy Foods:

Position
Doctoral Coordinator Researcher

Admission requirements
a) Holders of a Doctoral degree in Food Science and Technology, or a related field, obtained more than 5 years prior to the application deadline.
b) Mandatory approval in public habilitation or aggregation examinations.
Candidates working in foreign institutions may be admitted without habilitation/aggregation examinations provided that they cumulatively meet the following requirements.
i. Hold positions in foreign institutions without equivalent aggregation degrees.
ii.Have no contractual relationship with the Portuguese Scientific and Technological System.
iii.Possess a scientific curriculum of exceptional relevance.
iv.Obtain a favourable proposal from the selection panel and a positive opinion from the scientific/technical-scientific board of CBQF.
c) Minimum of 10 years of experience as an independent researcher.
d) Experience in securing, managing, and coordinating international research projects.
e) Experience in postgraduate teaching and mentoring at Master’s and Doctoral levels.*
