Elisabete Pinto graduated in Nutrition Sciences from the University of Porto in 2003 and got her PhD in Public Health at the same University in 2010. She is, since 2008, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Biotechnology, where she teaches several curricular units in the field of Nutrition and Public Health, and researcher at the Center for Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry (CBQF) and at the Institute of Public Health of Porto University.
It is responsible for supervise students from different study cycles. Her research areas focus on Nutritional Epidemiology, Community Nutrition, Life Cycle Nutrition and Food Sustainability. She has participated and coordinated several national and international research projects at the ESB. She is co-coordinator of the Postgraduate courses in "Nutrition and aging" and "Pediatric nutrition: from conception to adolescence".
