Biography
Pharmacist (Valencia University), in 1987, continued his specialization in Food Technology in The Master Science in Food Science and Engineering (Polytechnical University of Valencia-UPV) and later with a PhD in Agricultural Engineering at UPV. He joined the UPV as an Associate Professor in 1995 and is currently a Full Professor at the UMH. He is the research leader of the interdisciplinary Research Group, IPOA, since 2000, in 2007, IPOA, joined to the Valencian Network of Linked Research (REVIV) in 2022 to Spaniard AGROALNEXT Network. He has 5 Spaniard six-year research awards, was supervisor/co-supervisor of 22 Doctoral Theses He has 63 h-index (SCOPUS) and 100 papers in Q1 (since 2010) and was Highly Cited Researcher in the area of Agricultural Sciences, according to Clarivate Analytics (Thompson-Reuters) in the periods 2016-2021 consecutively. Research activities
Agri-food co/by-products valorisation; food product development and innovation (focus on healthier and hybrid meat products and meat analogues); dietary fibre rich extracts, natural antioxidants, essential oils and food applications.
