Advanced signal processing and machine learning techniques are being increasingly used in the field of healthcare diagnostics to improve accuracy, speed, and cost-effectiveness of diagnostic procedures. These techniques allow for the detection and analysis of subtle patterns on biosignals and medical images that may be difficult for human clinicians to identify, leading to earlier and more accurate diagnoses of various medical conditions.
Signal processing and machine learning techniques can be useful tools to analyse biosignals such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), electroencephalograms (EEGs) and speech, among others, and medical Images as MRI or CT scans. By analysing them, machine learning algorithms can identify patterns that are associated with specific medical conditions, allowing for earlier and more accurate diagnoses for better patient outcomes.
