As part of the Descarboniza Project - Decarbonisation of the Agri-Food Sector, you are invited to participate in a training session dedicated to the challenges and opportunities associated with the transition towards a low-carbon economy in the agri-food sector.
Against a backdrop in which sustainability is increasingly recognised as a key competitiveness factor, this session will explore how organisations can transform the challenges of decarbonisation into opportunities for value creation, efficiency gains, and market differentiation.
Topics to be addressed include leadership engagement and sustainability as a business imperative, decarbonisation as an essential component of efficiency across the extended value chain, from primary production to consumption, and energy efficiency and collaborative models as sources of competitive advantage: lower costs and greater value creation.
Co-organised by João Pinto and Arménio Rego (Católica Porto Business School), António Vasconcelos and Pedro Tamagnini (InSuRe.Hub), and Manuela Pintado (Centre for Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry, School of Biotechnology, Portuguese Catholic University), the event will feature presentations by João Pinto and Pedro Tamagnini.
