Introduction to Bioprocess Engineering

6 ECTS / Semester / Portuguese

Objectives and competences

The UC aims to get know-how about several processes used in the Bioprocess Engineering and Food Industry.

The student learns how to make the analysis of a process in terms of mass and energy balances.

Teaching Methodologies

Theoretical classes (1.5 h), where fundamental concepts are presented and some application examples are given, accompanied by tutorial classes (1.5 or 3 h), in which students solve exercises related to the CU.
