Objectives and competences

This course aims at

Studying the impact of the different biotechnology areas in the human health and well-being.
Revisit the advantages on use of biotechnology processes and resources to promote human health.
Demonstrating the potential of biotechnology to find new solutions for human health problems, making prospects for the coming years.
Demonstrating the importance of the communication and information in biotechnology for the general public.

 Skills to be acquired:

  •  An integrated understanding of biotechnology and of its applications and implications for the Quality of Life and Well-Being;
  •  Perception and ability to communicate with experts from different disciplines related with the development of biotechnology applications in health and quality of life;
  • Knowledge of emerging areas in biotechnology with applications in human health
