“The AI Revolution in Neurodegenerative Diagnosis” is the theme of another session in the “Feeding a Cause” Conversation Series, an initiative promoted by the Serralves Foundation, in scientific partnership with the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto.
The session will feature Pedro Miguel Rodrigues, faculty member and and Deputy Director of the Faculty of Biotechnology of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and member of the Centre for Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry (CBQF). The event will take place on 6 November, at 6:30 p.m., in the Library of the Serralves Foundation.
Synopsis
In the silence of our bodies, subtle signals can reveal the onset of neurodegenerative diseases long before they become evident. Artificial Intelligence and the analysis of signals and images are opening the way to a new era in early detection, enabling the processing of complex data and the identification of patterns invisible to the human eye.
This technological revolution promises faster, more accurate, and less invasive diagnoses — redefining how we understand health and prevention.
The conversation will invite participants to explore this frontier of knowledge, where technology serves humanity. It will highlight some of the most disruptive solutions developed in recent years, while also addressing key challenges related to ethics, accessibility, and scalability.
An invitation, ultimately, to unveil the future of medical diagnosis — a future where technology empowers us to act sooner, and with greater hope.
