On 28 February, the final of the "Inventing the Food of the Future" competition will take place, organised by the Faculty of Biotechnology at Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto. This event will showcase the winning entries from the third edition of this competition, which encourages high school students to create innovative, healthy, and sustainable recipes.
With registrations open until 1 December 2024, the competition invites teams to present balanced and sustainable main courses, with the chance to compete in four subcategories: "Taste of the Sea," "Street Food," "Sci-Fi," and "Backyard." The finalists will be announced on 17 January 2025, and the national final will be held on 28 February at the Faculty of Biotechnology, with chef Hélio Loureiro on the judging panel.
