Open Week is an initiative organised by the Faculty of Biotechnology that takes place every spring. In 2027, the 35th edition will be held on 17, 18 and 19 March and is free of charge for secondary schools. All students taking science and technology courses are welcome. Schools are preferably asked to register by February 17, 2027.

This series of activities provides an opportunity for students to engage closely with different areas of science through fun demonstrations and experiments designed by our researchers and lecturers.

It is also a unique opportunity to visit research laboratories and learn about ongoing projects. The activities cover a wide range of fields, from microbiology to the environment, bioengineering to artificial intelligence, and nutrition to social transformation.

Visits can be organised as a school group (in which case participating schools must ensure that their students’ school insurance covers the visit) or on an individual or family basis. Schools should use this form to register.

Students wishing to attend individually should complete this form. International schools are also very welcome, and we guarantee interaction in English.
