Objectives and competences

Develop students' skills and competences to articulate knowledge acquired throughout their training in Science and Engineering with the needs of the Bio-Economy through the business development and the creation of new companies based on scientific and technological knowledge adequately protected by strategies and practices of Intellectual Property management.
Know the fundamentals of Intellectual Property and its management to pursue objectives of scientific and technological knowledge valorization in Biotechnology. Envision different strategies for knowledge protection and valorization depending on different exploration contexts.
Implement and deepen the application of concepts through the development of a Business Project for an idea based on Intellectual Property associated with scientific-technological knowledge in Biotechnology to respond to identified needs or opportunities in Bio-Economy markets.

Lectures on key concepts.
Presentations of proposed assignments: individual and group.
Mentoring to working groups.
Individual assignments.
Collaborative work based on the electronic platform to support teaching and learning, with open discussion to all students:
