Graduated in Food Engineering (1998) by the School of Biotechnology of the Portuguese Catholic University and Master's in “Quality Control” (2001) by the Faculty of Pharmacy of Porto. Lecturer at the Biotechnology School, (Practical component of Sensory Analysis).
Laboratory supervisor (Sensory laboratory of CINATE) since 2004. Expertise in sensory hazards in tests on food products, in the identification of defects present in foods, defects resulting from the aging of the product and defects arising from the migration of compounds from the material of packaging, consumer tests, formation of sensory panels, sensory evaluations of shelf-life studies and sensory tests on packaging materials in contact with food products. Also performs Atomic Absorption chemical tests on food products and packaging materials for quality control.
