Beatriz Nunes Silva is a Junior Doctoral Researcher at the Food Microbiology Group of CBQF - Centre for Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry at Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She has a PhD in Food Science and Technology and Nutrition (2024), and a master’s degree in Biological Engineering – Chemical and Food Technology (2017), both from the University of Minho, Braga.

Since 2017, she has developed extensive expertise in food microbiology, combining laboratory-based experimentation with computational data analysis to integrate empirical findings and advanced modelling approaches. Her work focuses on biocontrol strategies for foodborne pathogens, antimicrobial natural compounds, microbial risk analysis, and predictive microbiology.
