The FLY Program is back in 2026, offering students from the four campuses of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa the opportunity to participate in international volunteering experiences, integrated into projects in the areas of migration, social exclusion, and community care. Applications are open from January 28 to February 17.
With more than 40 projects in 16 countries, FLY promotes civic engagement, solidarity, and contact with diverse social realities. Previous editions have demonstrated the transformative impact of this program, both on the communities involved and on the personal and academic paths of the participating students. Carolina Salgado, a student at the Porto campus, participated in the 2025 edition and says that the experience at Cáritas Madrid “exceeded all her initial expectations,” having developed “very special relationships with other volunteers and with the local community.”
This program includes a series of preliminary training sessions, support from local organizations, and a strong international cooperation component. It is promoted by the Spanish Jesuit Universities in partnership with the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
Participating in FLY is a unique opportunity to put knowledge at the service of others and enjoy a meaningful international experience.
