Centre of Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry and University of Saint Joseph strengthen future collaborations

Vice-Rector of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), Zhang Shuguang, recently visited the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) to explore future partnerships in developing industry solutions. This visit also aimed to enhance the internationalization of the Centre of Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry (CBQF).

With a strong focus on biotechnology and fine chemistry as enabling technologies, CBQF catalyzes cutting-edge research, knowledge transfer, and the development of practical solutions. With a dedicated team to promote cooperation with industry, the center strives to bridge the gap between academia and industry, unlocking the full potential of scientific discoveries and transforming them into tangible applications.

USJ, based in Macau, has a strong tradition of promoting international cooperation and educational excellence. Since its founding, UCP and CBQF have played critical roles in advancing scientific research and innovation, particularly in biotechnology and fine chemistry.

During Prof. Zhang Shuguang's visit, on May 28th, discussions focused on joint research projects, exchange programs, and collaborative efforts to develop innovative industrial solutions.
