On November 20th, at 11 a.m, there will be held event to launch the recent collaboration between the Faculty of Biotechnology of Universidade Católica Portuguesa and the international company BIORBIS, which has chosen Portugal to carry out its research and innovation investment in Europe. Biorbis is majority-owned by Guatemala's leading sugar cane producer and Latin America's top 5 sugar producers - IMSA - Ingenio Magdalena.
This program foresees an initial private investment of 3 million, with a potential of 23 million over the next 5 years. The research and innovation project seeks to develop the next generation of safe, sustainable and high-value biomolecules.
The event will take place in the Arménio Miranda Auditorium, in the Biotechnology Building.
