Bio

PhD and master’s in molecular biology from Cornell University (United States) and a degree in Biology from the University of Coimbra. She is an Assistant Professor at the Escola Superior de Biotecnologia and is interested in the areas of environment and well-being, also teaching communication and critical thinking subjects.

She coordinates science outreach activities aimed at schools and society in general. Dedicated to studying the benefits of urban gardening, science vs. genetic engineering of food, and new approaches to obesity and eating disorders.
