Importance of the microbiome for health, environment and agri-food sector

"Community microbiomes & communities of microbiomes" is the theme of the first CBQF Day, scheduled for February 1st from 9 am. An initiative of the Centre for Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry of the School Faculty of Biotechnology at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto.

“This will be a day where we intend to show the growth of CBQF, as an Associate Laboratory with more than 245 researchers who develop their work in 4 lines of research - Environment and Resources; Food and Nutrition; Biological and Biomedical Based Products; and Fermentation Solutions – which has 7 platforms, namely in Analytical Chemistry; Bioactives; Cell Culture and Molecular Biology; Structural analysis; Consumption and Sensory Science; Kitchen Lab and Packaging and Materials,” points out Manuela Pintado, director of the Centre for Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry at the Faculty of Biotechnology at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto.
