Ana Leite de Almeida Monteiro de Oliveira, professor at the Faculty of Biotechnology at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, had her tenure process unanimously approved, after the Tenure Exams in Biotechnology - Major in Science and Biomedical Engineering, held on the 27th and 28th July 2023.

On the first day of the exams, the teacher's curriculum was analyzed, as well as the curricular unit of Biomaterials presented. On the second day, the professor taught a class entitled "Biomaterials for Tissue Engineering", which was analyzed and discussed by the jury.

The tenure exams were chaired by the Rector of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Prof. Doctor Isabel Capeloa Gil. The jury of the tests was composed of Profs. Doctors João Filipe Mano and Marlene Tourais de Barros for curriculum appreciation and Profª. Dr. Raquel Lino for consideration of the course report, with Prof. Doctor Fernando Monteiro. The jury also included Professors Paula Castro and Julio San Román.

The tenure process aims to assess the candidate's competence and academic, scientific, professional and pedagogical contribution to the area in which he works, as well as his ability to lead and supervise projects. Thus, in addition to acquiring greater prestige and authority with this new title, the teacher is qualified to apply for the position of full professor.

The Faculty of Biotechnology thus congratulates Professor Ana Leite Oliveira on her success in this tenure process, recognizing her dedication and commitment to teaching at the institution.
