Taking lunch box to work or school has become a habit in many homes, not only to avoid food waste but also to save money.
In Portugal, more than 40% of people usually take their meals in lunchboxes, according to data from the III Great National Sustainability Survey - Missão Continente/ICS-ULisboa.
Despite the advantages, using lunchboxes can raise questions about food conservation, as meals are transported from one place to another and, in many cases, kept outside the refrigerator for several hours.
