CBQF researcher delivers invited talk at Medicinal Chemistry Symposium

On May 22nd, 2025, Eduardo Costa, researcher at the Centre for Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry (CBQF), was an invited speaker at the 7th Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry, hosted by the University of Minho in Braga, Portugal. The two-day scientific event, held on May 22nd and 23rd, gathered researchers, academics, and professionals to explore the theme “Medicinal Chemistry: Advancing Health and Society.”

The symposium featured a comprehensive programme including plenary lectures, oral communications, poster sessions, and ample opportunities for discussion among experts in the field of Medicinal Chemistry.

Representing CBQF, Eduardo Costa delivered a talk titled “From Byproducts to Biomedical: A Roadmap for Sustainable Health Solutions,” in which he presented a multidisciplinary approach to valorizing industrial and natural byproducts for applications in biomedicine, which is a core approach of the Bioactives and Bioproducts he is a part of.
