Master in Computer Engineering and Medical Instrumentation by Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto. Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto. Lídio Silva is a Guest Lecturer at the Escola Superior de Biotecnologia da Universidade Católica, where he teaches the subject of Medical Imaging and at CESPU – Escola Superior de Saúde do Vale do Ave, where he teaches the subjects of Imaging Equipment, Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine and Physical Principles of Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance.
During his 32 years as technical-commercial manager of GE Healthcare in Northern Portugal, and as trainer of the company's Iberian team in the areas of Computed Tomography and Molecular Imaging, in which he specialized, he focused his technical-scientific interest in the field of Medical Imaging, applied to diagnosis and oncological treatment (radiotherapy).
This knowledge, associated with his education, allowed him to teach in this field of Medical Imaging in several entities (ISAVE; ESS in Porto and Lisbon; etc.) and be a lecturer at numerous technical and clinical events, with presentations especially aimed to new technologies, applied to the latest equipment used in this challenging field of Modern Medicine.
