Bio
PhD in Sport Sciences and lecturer at the Faculty of Sport, University of Porto (FADEUP), with post-doctoral research in computational simulation from Loughborough University. His main research areas include experimental biomechanics, strength, and the musculoskeletal system. He is member of the Biomechanics Laboratory of the University of Porto. He specialises in the theory and methodology of sports training, with a particular focus on training planning, the development of methods to improve strength, and the biomechanical assessment of high-performance athletes, especially in the fields of sprinting and jumping in athletics. Currently, he serves on the Scientific Council of FADEUP and the board of the Association of Athletics Coaches of Portugal.
