Preparing professionals for the analysis of large volumes of data in the field of biotechnology. This is one of the main objectives of the new Postgraduate Program in Biotechnology Data Science, launched by the Faculty of Biotechnology, Universidade Católica Portuguesa. A training program designed for those who want to leverage artificial intelligence to develop advanced tools to support medical diagnosis and treatment through data processing.

"In biotechnology, data science is applied to accelerate the discovery of new therapies, improve the effectiveness of treatments, optimize clinical diagnostic processes, and enhance the production processes of biological products, among many others," says Pedro Rodrigues, coordinator of this Postgraduate Program and lecturer at the Faculty of Biotechnology. "We have designed this postgraduate offering so that participants can leverage artificial intelligence to develop advanced tools to support medical diagnosis and treatment through data processing," he explains.
