LEAD Seminar at the Universidade Católica in Porto Boosts Dairy Production Innovation

On July 16th, the Faculty of Biotechnology, Universidade Católica Portuguesa hosted the LEAD Seminar "Dairy Production - Management and Development of Farms", a pivotal event for dairy producers interested in exploring new strategies and technologies in the sector.

Organized with the aim of equipping participants with essential tools, the seminar featured a series of lectures and discussions led by renowned experts:

The day began with a reception and presentation of the LEAD Project by Prof. Dr. Eduardo Cardoso from ESB-UCP, followed by an in-depth analysis of strategies for attracting and retaining talent in production teams, presented by Dr. Luís Figueiredo from B3L.

Mid-morning, Eng. Paulo Lobo from B3L explored the impact of Power BI on optimizing the profitability of dairy farms, using a real case study to illustrate best practices in data visualization.

In the afternoon, the focus shifted to a practical example of dairy farm profitability presented by Eng. André Barão, followed by a discussion on biofertilizers and sustainable agricultural practices led by Sofia Pereira from RECROP.

The LEAD Seminar at the Faculty of Biotechnology reinforced the institution's commitment to innovation and continuous development in agribusiness, promising to positively impact national dairy production.
