The Researcher Pedro Xavier, from the CBQF Engineering and Food Processing Laboratory, has just won the award for Best Oral Presentation of ISEKI-Food Association & Graduate School Biosphera at the 7th International ISEKI_Food Conference, which took place in Paris on 5-7 July 2023, organized by the International Association ISEKI-Food, in cooperation with the Paris-Saclay University – AgroParistech.
The awarded work is entitled "Development of a smart tool for avocado fruits (Persea americana) ripening evaluation, shelf-life management and waste reduction", being the result of his master's thesis work in Food Engineering, supervised by professors Cristina L.M. Silva and Pedro Rodrigues.
