Doctor in Moral Theology. He was Director of the Faculty of Theology in Porto between 2001 and 2014. He is a member of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Theology and belongs to the clergy of the Diocese of Porto. He is president of the Porto Cathedral chapter. His research focuses on Portuguese moral theology, ethics and thought.
