Marta Vasconcelos

Professor(a) Auxiliar

Doutorada em Biotecnologia pela Universidade Nova de Lisboa e pelo International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), nas Filipinas, é licenciada em Biologia pela Universidade de Lisboa. De 2003-2008 foi Investigadora Associada no Children's Nutrition Research Center, Baylor College of Medicine, nos Estados Unidos. É docente e investigadora na Escola Superior de Biotecnologia e coordena o grupo de investigação PlanTech. Os seus interesses na investigação focam-se principalmente na área da nutrição de plantas e da genética, mas também no stress biótico e abiótico em espécies agronómicas e florestais.

É editora chefe da revista Frontiers in Plant Nutrition e faz parte do Seminário de Jovens Cientistas da Academia das Ciências de Lisboa. É membro do International Plant Nutrition Council e atualmente integra a Direção do Centro de Biotecnologia e Química Fina (CBQF).
