The Centre for Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry (CBQF) at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa has once again been awarded an Excellence rating in the Research and Development Unit Evaluation process promoted by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), achieving the highest score in all evaluation criteria.
In addition to the excellence rating, CBQF also saw its funding significantly increased to a total of 4.8 million euros.
Manuela Pintado, Director of CBQF, emphasized that “this recognition is a source of great pride for all of us. It is a direct reflection of the dedication, competence, and excellence of our team and the quality of the work we do every day. This result not only reinforces the importance of collaborative and internationalized research, but also the positive impact we strive to generate in society. We are ready to continue innovating, side by side, with the same firm commitment to excellence.”
